Oidhche Bhlas Burns (Happy Burns Night)

The area of Seafield and its sweeping, sandy beach lie to the south of the bustling town of Ayr, and is now home to Seafield Gardens. With just 27 detached homes set within an idyllic landscaped cul-de-sac design, Seafield Gardens provides an exclusive, secluded environment perfect for family life. The development comprises of four and five-bedroom detached homes in eight different styles.

Just a mile or so south of Seafield lies Alloway, the birthplace of Robert Burns and the setting for several of his works. Alloway is also home to a major museum commemorating Burns, as well as the famous Auld Kirk and Brig o’Doon which feature in his poems and songs.

‘Aft hae I rov’d by Bonie Doon,

To see the rose and woodbine twine:

And ilka bird sang o’ its Luve,

And fondly sae did I o’mine’

The Banks O’Doon, Robert Burns, 1791
