Here at Westpoint Homes we are committed to providing all of our clients with the highest standard of service and to provide you with a quality home that you will be proud of.

We will ensure that the process of buying your new home will be an experience that you enjoy as we guide you through the process in a professional punctual and caring way.

  • At Westpoint Homes we have undertaken to comply with the Consumer Code for Home Builders. A copy of the Consumer Code will be included in your New Home Owners Guide. Information relating to the code is also available on the following website; www.consumercodeforhomebuilders.com
  • We are committed to clarity and honesty within our Advertising and Marketing. All of our marketing and promotional material complies with the relevant laws and codes of practice, none of our information or publicity material issued will ever be intentionally misleading.
  • Our clients will be provided with detailed information in clear terms regarding the property we are selling before any contract is signed or reservation made, including pricing information, reservation fee, deposits required and service charges (Factoring costs) plus information on the cost of any extras required.
  • Once you have reserved your home you will then be taken through the following information in detail at your IGM (information giving meeting);
    • Details of your home including land and communal areas, locations, development size and layout, demarcation and boundary details
    • A sketch layout plan with approximate room sizes shown
    • Summary details of the type of construction of your home
    • Fixtures and fittings to be included
    • Any choices and options where available
    • The type of heating system, number of radiators and outlets
    • Kitchen and bathroom layouts
    • Summary of the external works and layouts
    • Details of things that may not be finished before you move in, such as road surfaces, footpaths or landscaping
  • We recommend that you appoint a professional legal advisor to carry out all legal aspects of your home purchase and represent your interests throughout.
  • We will give you the names and contact details of our staff who will be responsible for helping you during the buying process and after completion of your home.
  • Assistance with choices and options available, you will meet with our experienced New Homes Co-ordinator who will assist you in making the right design choices to personalise your new home. Precisely what is available will depend on the build stage of your new home when you buy it.
  • Regular updates on the progress of construction, legal completion dates (our best estimate as dates are always anticipated).  We will keep in regular contact and advise you of the progress of your new home. When you reserve your property you will be given our best estimate at an anticipated completion date for your property. Approximately one month before you move in we will write through your solicitors confirming when we anticipate your home will be ready, which will assist you in making arrangements for your move. The exact date will be fixed when we issue you our formal 7 day notice to complete which will be issued when we receive Habitation and NHBC certificates from the relevant authorities.
  • When your new home is ready we will invite you to attend a familiarisation meeting where we will demonstrate your new home and its workings. This will include the following:
    • How to operate your central heating system, hot water and any other systems
    • Where the main switches, consumer unit and stopcock are located
    • How to ‘run in’ your new home
    • How to maintain your new home
    • How the warranties and guarantees work
    • How our Customer Service procedures work
  • We will inform you of the health and safety precautions that we and you must take before you visit a development site, and if you are living on the development site where construction work is continuing.
